Jim Varner
Jim Varner was the University of Maine’s first black student athlete who went on to become a civil rights leader in the state of Maine. He took part in MLK’s March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, stood by Jesse Jackson, and was appointed to the Maine Human Right coalition by then-Governor, Senator Angus King.
2018 FCS Playoffs
In 2018, the University of Maine saw one of its greatest teams take the field. The team went on to win the Colonial Athletic Association Championship and went on to make it to the Final Four of the Division I FCS Playoffs. These videos were made to get the fans hyped up for that playoff run.

Keep Moving Forward
The University of Maine football team had just come off a tough loss against Georgia Southern and the theme of this video was about coming back from loss and moving on to the next fight.
The team had an internal theme of the week that was “Mortal Kombat” so I spliced together music that worked for one part of the video with a remix of the Mortal Kombat Theme to fit with the team’s mindset of the week.
Mitch Fossier
Mitch Fossier was the captain of the UMaine Men’s Ice Hockey Team and a musician on the side. Here is the story of his hockey and music career and a performance of an original song.
With this project, we were hoping to show that our student athletes are more than the personalities in competition.
